Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord

Isaiah 40:1-5 1“Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God.
      2“Speak kindly to Jerusalem;
            And call out to her, that her warfare has ended,
            That her iniquity has been removed,
            That she has received of the LORD’S hand
            Double for all her sins.”      3A voice is calling,
            “Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness;
            Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.      4“Let every valley be lifted up,
            And every mountain and hill be made low;
            And let the rough ground become a plain,
            And the rugged terrain a broad valley;      5Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed,
            And all flesh will see it together;
            For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

Perspective, it really does change how you receive and react to events in your life if you can, by the grace of God, have the perspective of God.
This end time generation has a call on their lives.  The call is to be a people who have been brought through the wilderness and have lived with no visible means of support, nothing to fall back on, just the faith of God.  The call is to live as a people who have allowed/received the deep dealings of the Lord, that root out self, pride, independence, and leave only a new heart, a servant heart, a willing heart, that truly does walk by the Spirit.
Every time self is uncovered and exposed, every episode where pride is brought out and revealed for the ugly thing that it is, every breaking of independence is a cause for rejoicing.  The way within us as individuals is being prepared and as we gather with others who are being prepared a people are being prepared who can truly, "Comfort, O comfort My people."
