It is a prayer for the coming day of God.
Why don't we know this? Same answer as it is almost all of the time...
2,000 years of gentiles putting their hands in the soup and making some sort of concoction that has absolutely nothing to do with the Jewish roots of the faith, and makes everything about us, the gentiles, the stars of the show, the ones that Jesus was waiting for to welcome Him, blah, blah, blah, blah, blahhhhhhhhh!
