2 Cor. 12:15

And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.
2nd Corin. 12:15

Wow... In real life, the impossibility of actually living the Christian life is hammered home again and again. If our source of love is not the supernatural life of Jesus being manifested through us, all the scriptures will do is mock our
sorry attempts at 'religion.'

Oh God, when i get the feeling that i am justified in cutting someone off, have mercy on me and draw me back to Your heart, In Jesus' Name. Amen

Very true. The willingness to be spent must ever characterize those who live in Him. Religious people are willing to be spent for recognition and respect, but when it comes down to the humble, mean things that no one sees and the people that can't, won't and don't return something they desire to them, they are resolute in their refusal to be spent.

My friend taught me that submission is surrender to that which is unreasonable...if it were reasonable, we wouldn't have to submit to it. Lord, help us submit to one another despite the unreasonability of each other's requests. "Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ."~Eph 5:21

"surrender to that which is unreasonable" is definitely a good way to define submission.
Hold on to that friend, they are wise.
