What You Don't Know Can Kill You

If you do not know that Jerusalem and Israel are the center of God's plan and the end of this evil age, that lack of knowledge could kill you.

If you don't understand that the Post-Tribulation view of the rapture is correct, that could result in you falling away.

If you do not know that your hope rests entirely on Yeshua the Messiah of Israel, you could be killed relying on other things, people, systems, and stuff.

GAZA Lies and the Soon Coming Necessary Destruction of Jerusalem

 Why I Stand with Israel

I support Israel not primarily because of my eschatology, but because my faith calls me to love my neighbors and contend for justice.
First, the Jewish people are the single most consistently persecuted minority people in human history. From ancient to modern genocides, they have been hunted, hated, and murdered more than any other minority people group in the world. They have suffered in ways few can comprehend. Tragically, much of this pain has come at the hands of professing Christians. Recognizing this glaring fact of history is a part of what it means to be aware of reality, to "read the room" at this moment in history.
Most Jews are aware of the long history of Christian mistreatment of Jews. Most Christians have no idea. Christianity's selective memory / historical amnesia doesn't just fuel misunderstanding, it allows unrepentant sins to continue and even be repeated.
My support for Israel is a practical extension of my Christian faith that calls us to defend the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed. To care about justice is to care about those suffering injustice.
Now hear me clearly: Palestinian children are just as precious as Jewish children. Their suffering is real, and it breaks my heart. Their pain, however, stems from their own corrupt leaders who have consistently chosen to trade offers of peace for toxic ideologies, particularly the more racist aspects of Islamic eschatology and Islamic replacement theology. A theological vision that seeks to carry out a genocide against the Jewish people causes everyone involved to suffer.
This brings me to theology. Any version of “Replacement Theology” (whether it's called Fulfillment Theology or Inclusion Theology) that erases Israel’s future is structural antisemitism. This doesn't mean that everyone who adheres to these systems hates Jews. Many are sincere, but sincerity does not sanctify error. To erase the Jewish people’s identity, purpose, and covenantal destiny is to do what no other form of racism dares: claim that God Himself has rejected an entire ethnic people.
That is theological racism. It is Christianity's longest and most pervasive unrepentant sin. I will have no part in it.

My two cents... The leaders of Gaza lie and let their people die. The surrounding Arab community (did you know Egypt has a border with Gaza and could let all the refugees into their country if they wanted to) does not ever help Gaza, because Gaza is a tool to be used to incite Jewish hatred. The gullible West falls for it because the principalities and powers that rule over every nation but Israel hate the God of Israel. The God of Israel is God Most High and he has a plan for the end of this age that includes an anti-christ (probably currently residing in Syria), a vicious attack from all the nations that surround Israel that leads to a horrible destruction in the land of Israel. For a brief time the current nation state of Israel will enjoy a time of peace and a rebuilt temple. The clock that is Jerusalem will be ticking at that point. Forget saving up for your kids college, forget your 401K, the Kingdom is coming. If this evil age extends beyond 2034, I will be very, very surprised.

The Key

"Israel reveals the hearts of men and Jerusalem sifts the nations."  Phil Haney

This quote from Phil Haney deserves to be on billboards all over this world.  Not because a majority of the public will understand, but to put the principalities and powers on notice that there is a remnant that does understand.  And to let Phil Haney's voice still speak even though they killed his body.

The Ethnic Jews, Jerusalem, Israel, The God of Israel

Promises were made to Abraham. That have not been fulfilled.

Promises were made to Isaac. That have not been fulfilled.

Promises were made to Jacob. That have not been fulfilled.

Love was promised to Israel, because that is God's choice. Currently they are not following God as a nation and they are surrounded by their enemies.

Promises were made to David. That have not been fulfilled.

A temple was described in Ezekiel that has never been built.

Isaiah spoke of an amazing restoration for Israel. That has not been fulfilled.

Revelation has a 1,000 year reign of the Messiah on a throne in physical, geographical Israel. That has definitely not been fulfilled.

Either He is a promise keeper or HE is not.

You decide

Eschatology (what you believe about the end of the age) Drives (motivates and makes you cry out for the Life of Yeshua to empower you) Discipleship (the beautiful, terrible ongoing process of being conformed into the image of Yeshua)

Big fancy words, but filled so much truth in 3 words. "Eschatology drives discipleship." When we have revealed to us by the mercy of God, that we are living in "this evil age" then our outer self wasting away is not the main concern, in fact "loved not their lives unto the death" is our ultimate power over the fear, threat, intimidation and violence of satan and his forces. Everything that the hand of God permits to enter the life of a believer is redeemed as we cry out for Him to use it to make us more like His son. As we accept it and trust that He will turn it for our ultimate good. (as defined by Him and Him alone, we want no part of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, its fruit is DEADLY still) Everything in this evil age is transient, temporary, dung. (very polite religious word for ... well you know!) The things that are unseen are not some "harp and cloud heaven" type imagery, they are unseen things of the Kingdom of God on earth that is yet to come. It is because they are in the future, not because they are spiritual, that they are unseen. Plato and Origen are not our God, The Messiah King of Israel, ruling from David's throne in Jerusalem is our King. That is who we are crying for when we say Maranatha! Our prayers center around the peace of Jerusalem, because that is a cry for His return as only His return will bring ultimate peace and the false peace before He returns is going to be a stone of stumbling. Our prayers cry out for the grace and supplication to be poured out on the Jewish people because that is the ultimate end of "this evil age", national repentance and national salvation, a nation born in a day. 1 John 3:2,3 "2Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. 3And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure." THIS HOPE, the Kingdom to come, is the driving force behind our crying out for the purity that only His life brings. We love because He first loved us. His heart for Israel is poured out on us and we love "His brethren" with His heart of unbreakable commitment and love. He has shown such mercy to me, how could I ever withhold it from anyone! Maranatha!

Peace among the nations

Words of wisdom, through Art Katz, "We are on the verge of an explosion again (war among the nations) and it will not be solved by the United Nations or any other human agency.  There will only be peace and accord, when nations fit themselves to the plan of God for all nations, with redeemed Israel at its center and the law going forth out of Zion, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.  Nations will study war no more, and will beat their swords into ploughshares."

Zechaiah 12:3 Jerusalem (and facebook)

My wife incited a thread on facebook by mentioning Israel. It was 'great' in that it revealed depth of feeling rarely displayed about anything in this modern culture. It got me to thinking, so I include one comment from the thread and then I will start my comments on the whole matter. (you would have to go to Laura Bean's page on facebook and then scroll down to November 24th to get the whole thread.)

(one comment)
No matter what they do? If they hypothetically decide, tomorrow, to murder every young baby and child in Palestine, would that be okay? Because the Bible says support them. That is the problem with following a rulebook interpreted by humans, because I suspect no good God would support such a thing. Hence, either the bible is wrong, or the human interpretation given me is, because I will not support an evil act no matter who or what entity says to support an evil act. Not to mention, is not the whole idea that if supporting them so that they can bring about the apocalypse? Well I don't want the apocalypse if our actions can bring peace and prevent it. If you are looking forward to the apocalypse you really shouldn't be making decisions about our future because the future doesn't really concern you.”

(My thoughts)
This thread has been beautiful in its diversity. I want to add to it because I respect what has gone before me. A “world view” is evident in every response. Israel and Jerusalem, are guaranteed to bring out strong feelings. When you begin to go deep into these issues, one thing that becomes very clear is that there is a deeper connection between the Jew and Israel, than there is between any other nationality and their home-land. They are deeply inter-twined, it is difficult if not impossible to tell where the state ends and the individual begins. No one can imagine the joy of having a land of their own, after many centuries of exile. The brand new UN voted to give the Jew this land. The holocaust was fresh in every ones minds and this new body whose main charter was to prevent future wars, saw only 'good' in giving this people a land of their own, so that they would never again be the whipping boy of a deranged dictator. Did they handle the Palestinian problem correctly? No. Has any Arab body before or since, helped? No. Did Muhammad teach his followers that it is OK to lie, to make false treaties, to buy time and eventually destroy your enemy...Oh yes he did. (Treaty of Hudaibiya)
At its deepest level this becomes about God's right to choose. He does not choose based on performance, it is all grace. This truth, is a great comfort to the sinner, and a great affront to those who 'think they are well.' The apocalypse happens because God said it would, the Jew does not bring it about, God does. The end result is Peace, true peace, between nations and peoples. There is a cross before the crown...always. Humanity strives for 'peace' but it is the expedient peace that leaves God and His choice out of the equation. We will just educate our selves and eventually, everyone will see that the wise choice is peace and so they will lay down their weapons and stop this silly arguing and killing. That has never happened in history and it will not happen for anything longer than a 3 ½ year period now. The amazing thing is that people who believe in a God who has on His agenda, the apocalypse, are actually the most charitable group in the world. More colleges, hospitals, orphanages and rescue missions are formed and operating under the name of Jesus than all other religions or non-religions combined. There must be more to this picture than we typically see.
Sin, injustice, bribery, money talks, however you want to put it one of the horrors in this world is the lack of true justice. The apocalypse is all about clearing the slate, so that God can keep His promise to rule the nations in truth and justice from His chosen center of the world, Jerusalem. True and good government flowing from a true and good God. The financial “rulers of the world” are shown as being destroyed in the apocalypse even before the armies that array themselves against the purposes of God. So the puppeteers and the puppets will all be brought under the rule of God and the world will witness and live under the one who is called Faithful and True.
The path there is not so pretty. But as for calling it “good or evil” that is up to God, not to us, with our very limited, very finite perspective. I think the path will look something like this. (I don't think for one second I have the whole truth on this and would be interested in any other perspectives that are supported by the amazing word of God.) Zechariah 12:3 is the starting point, because here in this 2,500 year old prophecy is an amazing up-to-the-minute headline from the evening news.
“It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.”
Words of prophecy this accurate, should cause us to study the Bible.
Currently, the individual who truly deeply converts and grows solidly in their love for God, is a person who has seen the deep depravity of their heart; addicts, and those who have had a true 'dark night of the soul', a time of utter hopelessness in themselves. The Bible is very aware of this principle and speaks of it in numerous places. “When they come to the end of their strength...” then God moves. This principle of God applies to individuals and to His chosen people as a whole.

Israel being chosen comes with a 'down-side.' Because they have been given so much, they are given double for their sins. God's judgment, has been severe throughout their history. Man has over-stepped and gone beyond the intent of God, because Satan is very aware that the way you stop the Kingdom from coming is you stop the people who are to be a light to the other nations. Israel had to be restored to their land, in order for the events of the end times to begin.

The desire for peace is strong and leads to many compromises. A peace covenant that is actually a lie, for no other purpose than to 'buy time' to get strong enough to kill your enemies, is an accepted way of doing business in Islam. A covenant of peace, most likely made from a point where Israel has proven stronger than her enemies, is made. Work on the temple is started. A small time player in that covenant, begins to rise in influence and power. He is assassinated. Satan copies the resurrection of Jesus, by “indwelling” this man's body. The anti-Christ is now on the earth, and he sets out very quickly to accomplish as much death and destruction as he possibly can, because he knows his time is short.

There is no nation that will be the solution to this problem. The anti-christ will actually set up his throne in Jerusalem and when the nations gather to fight him at the end of time, because they are tired of his rule, tired of his control. Jesus will return and end it all before man destroys everything.

The throne of David, is where Jesus will rule from. A promise is a promise, and God is glorified when He keeps these promises, to this people. The proper response of every other nation is, “Your God is the true God show us your God.”
