At Rest, In Him We Work

Genesis  2:15 " Then Adonai Elohim took the man and gave him rest in the Garden of Eden in order to cultivate and watch over it."  TLV

 And Jehovah God taketh the man, and causeth him to rest in the garden of Eden, to serve it, and to keep it.  YLT

Only two versions use rest in place of put or placed, but I like the imagery very much, don't you?

Rest comes before work, we work from a place of rest, we strive from a place of rest.  We are truly at rest in Him, and from that place, we work, because from that place He works through us.

OH for our lives to be, "I only say what the Father says, I only do what the Father does!"
