Leaning in to His intercession

Jesus is already interceding for those we love and care about.  So He is already in the "War Room" and since He is wisdom and has an eternal perspective, His prayers are the prayers we need to be one with.
How often have I crashed into His "War Room" like Kramer on Seinfield busting in and "praying" my thoughts or my desires for a friends life, the cheap, easy, wide way of no cost and no time spent waiting?
The idea is to humbly enter the room, tip-toeing over to where the Savior is humbly kneeling, and kneeling next to Him, shoulder to shoulder, and then tilting my head in His direction so that I can hear clearly what He is praying and giving my "amen" to Him and His way.  (Of course, Christ in you is the truth, but this is just a visual to help 'settle' my mind.)
This is costly and humbling.  I have to give time and quiet space to God for this to happen, but this is the place of authority in prayer.  Be still and know that He is God.

Ezekiel 38 Intercessory Prayer

“The LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.” “It shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage in which thou wast made to serve.” “Ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.” In the many statements similar to these, spread out through the whole Bible, we find the covenant reality expressed and its future fulfillment guaranteed. To run through the list of the “I will” and “I shall” in Ezekiel 38 will fill our prayer gatherings for the rest of our days with covenant related intercession. The prayer answers promised in the long list ends with a statement immersed in heavenly beauty: “I will yet for this be inquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them.” Ezekiel would have called this kind of ministry in prayer according to the covenant “Dry Bone Ministry” – a ministry to be engaged in during those future days when the forces of evil are trying to eradicate any trace of the eternal covenant. intercessory prayer

Intercessory prayer for one who has called upon the name of the Lord, but is now struggling

Jesus please protect the imperishable seed that You have planted, with an impregnable wall, that only allows in the things that You will work for Your glory as You bring them to a true and deep conversion.  A place where they truly know the Lord.
